Who Is Responsible
Lithuania Travel Guide (lithuaniatravelguide.com) is an independent travel-planning site. For any question about this policy or about data we hold about you, write to us through the contact form.
Data You Send Us
The contact form, the suggestion page and the feedback pop-up ask for your email address and your message. Together with them our form handler stores the page and language you wrote from, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. Submissions are saved on our web host in a folder that is not publicly accessible.
We use them only to read your message, reply and fix the page. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we never pass your email address to advertisers or affiliate partners. Ask through the contact form and we will delete your submission.
Trip Planner and Browser Storage
The trip planner keeps your plan in your own browser (local storage); it is not sent to our server. If you ask the planner to optimise the order of your stops, the addresses you entered are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find their coordinates, and map links open Google Maps. The site also remembers in local storage whether you closed the feedback pop-up or already sent feedback, so that it does not ask again.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which links are used. Its script loads a few seconds after a page opens, or at your first scroll, tap or key press. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to count visits and to measure pages viewed, approximate location, device type and clicks on outbound and partner links. We see aggregated reports only. Google describes its processing in the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising: Google AdSense
Since 21 October 2026 every page of this site loads the Google AdSense script (publisher ID ca-pub-7401037474642457), and Google may place ads on pages automatically. We do not choose the individual ads, and advertisers have no influence over what we publish.
Google and its advertising partners use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ads, prevent fraud and, where the law and your choices allow it, personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: Google shows personalised ads there only with consent, which it asks for in its own consent message where that message appears. Without that consent Google shows only non-personalised or limited ads. Wherever you are, you can switch off ad personalisation in My Ad Center.
Affiliate Links and Booking Widgets
Some guides link to booking partners and show booking widgets (for example for flights, airport transfers and car rental) supplied through the Travelpayouts affiliate network. If you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; see How This Site Is Funded.
On pages with partner links or widgets a Travelpayouts script (served from emrldco.com) loads and may turn ordinary travel links into partner links. Widgets are loaded from Travelpayouts' and the partners' servers when you scroll near them. Travelpayouts and the partners may set their own cookies, mainly after you click through, to attribute a booking.
Other Services Our Pages Use
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google's servers receive your IP address when a page loads.
- The Water Music Festival pages embed a public Facebook post; Facebook (Meta) may set cookies when that embed loads.
- Our host, Hostinger, serves the pages through its content delivery network and keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time and browser).
Your Choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse in a private window, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The guides keep working without cookies; the planner needs local storage to keep your plan.
Your Rights
If the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of the data we hold about you, object to its use or withdraw consent. Use the contact form; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
